1965 dart Convertible top cylinders

Hello,

My left side convertible top cylinder is leaking at the bottom of the cylinder hose..is there a seal or o ring? can these be rebuilt? rather than by a new one??

Yes they can be rebuilt.Heck for the price of a new one I was pretty much forced to or at least try and rebuild mine.The problem I had was the O ring at the top blew out.Not hard to do if I remember correctly.

How did you take them apart? where did you get the O ring replacement?...
I looked at the left side lift cylinder and it is leaking at the top O ring the right side is dry..

Hello,

How did you take apart the lift cylinder? Mine is leaking at the top of the cylinder, I thought I would try to fix mine first before spending for a new one.
