I have been searching, but couldn't find how to remove the trim that goes around half of each headlight and the bottom of the grill on a 1965 Dart. Is the trim pushed on from the front over clips, or are they screws / nuts in the back? The trim is in 3 pieces; one for the right, one for the left, then a short strip covering where the two pieces join at the middle of the car.

On later cars some people say remove the fenders with the trim, On this car, the trim prevents removal of the fenders, as it connects the fenders to the lower radiator valance.

You need a 3/8 socket and an extention for the oter nuts on the fender and a smaller extension on the front valence.

Yup, nuts on the inside of the fender in the crack running around the headlight bucket. Soak them good with a penetrating oil before wrenching on them.

Thanks guys. Not sure how Mopar could have made profit by such a labor-intensive procedure.
