1965 Dart Wagon A/C

Hi all,
I am new to this forum and thinking about purchasing a 1965 Dart 270 wagon. My question is has anyone ever installed aftermarket A/C on a slant 6 and does anyone make a kit.

I've got a 65 Dart GT and am adding factory AC to it using the factory under dash and engine compartment components. I've added the appropriate mounting holes and AC line holes to the firewall. For the heater motor (which is larger than a non-AC motor, I grafted a section of the firewall AC blower motor to my firewall. Everything fits perfectly. No pics since it's all been removed for finishing up the engine compartment.

Go to Classic Auto Air. For my 1964 Barracuda I have an original under dash A/C unit that came with the car factory. They are rebuilding all of the pieces like new with 134 freon.

My 1965 Plymouth Valiant is a custom car and I am getting from them a 1967 A-Body A/C unit, this will work a buddy of mine put one in his 1966 Dart. You get a new A/C & Heater Box (married) and it fits right in, there is a little bit of fab work on the firewall but not a whole lot.

If you are doing a slant six. None of the aftermarket compressor mounts are easy to do, in an "A" body. You can buy a aftermarket A/C kit without a compressor mount, and get a much better mount from me. See this thread.

Thanks for all the help. I am still debating on the car but this clears up one part of the decision.
