For sale is a numbers matching 1966 Barracuda 4 speed 273. I purchased this car from the original owner’s family, I am the second owner. I have the build sheets, owner’s manual, and all documentation of the work I have performed.
Interior:
Procar Low Back front bucket seats
Rear seat custom recovered with Procar material to match front seats
New carpet, padding and sound deadening
New Headliner
New rear seat back latch covers
All the metal, trim, arm rest, door panels, dash, steering wheel, ect. are original.
Drive Line:
Rebuilt carb
All new seals in engine
New water pump, oil pump, fuel pump, timing chain, alt, ignition components
New clutch and flywheel kit from Brewer’s
New exhaust system
New fuel tank
New brake lines and master cylinder
Drum brakes have been rebuilt
NOS Mickey Thompson slot steel wheels with Goodyear radials
Parking brake does not work
Engine does burn oil, has some ring blow-by
Suspension:
Rear is stock with new shocks
Front suspension is loaded with all the goodies from Firm Feel, quick ratio steering box, adjustable strut rods, QA1 adjustable shocks, all new bushings, joints, ect.
The k-member and control arms have the gussets and/or strengthening plates welded to the and are powder coated gloss black
Large Hotchkis from sway bar
Custom shock tower brace
I have replaced the front sub-frame rails due to rust Front A arm mounts and frame rust
Body:
The body is showing some rust bubbles
The floors and under side are very solid
Has been painted over 30 years ago
New window felt and rubber seals with exception of rear glass
Extra parts included:
Left, Right, and Center grille
Trunk Lid
Rear Window
Rocker Trim
Front and rear bumper
Taillight lenses
This Barracuda has proven to be very reliable; it even did the entire 2019 Hot Rod Power Tour long haul. While on the Power Tour I measured up to 19 mpg.
