1966 Fury III ?s help

Think I might get a 66 Fury III with a 440 please check it out


Engine looks good! full length headers, ps,pb, MSD ignition w/goldbox, dual line holley carb, new cross flow alum radiator, dual exhaust can that carb be changed for a non duel line like a 700?

Will it get better then 10mpg or not?

Nice car. They handle like an ocean liner, but what a ride.

As to gas mileage, how heavy is your foot?

Last summer like an idiot I sold a 66 Fury III with a 440. I ran a holley 600 cfm with the stock intake and it ran like a dream, but ran out of breath pretty quick. Gas mileage wasn't bad at all, but I liked to cruise in that car. I never checked the mileage, but I would say that it got well over 10 mpg, but it had highway gears in it also. I have never owned a car that drove better than that C body. Here are a few pics. I actually sold the car too cheap at $4k. I did everything including paint and bodywork.
