Can anyone tell me how I can tell if my 1967 Barracuda is running the 67 front end, or the 68? I understand that there are differences between them for ordering new parts, and that some later 67's were fitted with 68 parts.
I live too far away to order the wrong parts.
Any help is appreciated greatly.

sent you a pm, hope it helps

Make sure that your car hasn't been converted to big ball joint.....

If it isn't converted then the following would apply.

The idler arm is specific for 1967. It will look similar on both ends. The 1968 idler arm has a bolt that goes through it for the K frame.

If you have disc brakes then the lower ball joints are different from the lower drum brake ball joints. The uppers are the same on both.

Tie rod ends and sleeves are the same.

Here's the difference, the idler arm on a 67 is bolted to a L type bracket. It uses a one year only idler arm. The 68 and up has a c bracket, the picture is the 68 type going in my 67 Barracuda. One other difference, there is a motor mount bracket cut out for the power steering pump. You can see that on the second picture. The BBP disks will bolt to either with the correct UCL's and spindles. 73 and up use spindle motor mounts. The sway bars mount differently on the 73 and up too. Hope that answers your question
