Keeping ballast resistor setup for now but do not have a coil. Does anyone know what the primary impedance should be as well as the secondary voltage. Again, this is for a stock coil with points ignition using a ballast resistor. Thanks.

If you go to MyMopar.com there are many service manuals there, free. You may have to be content with Plymouth vs Dodge and other way round. In the "specs" section of the section 8 electrical chapter, it gives coil resistances.

But you don't need to adher religiously to that. Mainly whatever coil you use, try to match the ballast, IE Accel, Mallory, Blaster, etc, in other words follow their instructions. "Used to be" parts store, AKA NAPA Echlin, Standard/ Blue Streak, etc, were somewhat generic. You opened the cat., looked up the car model, and there was a coil number

On the other hand, if you are trying to be "restoration correct", appearance, etc, that is a whole nother can of worms

Son of a gun. It IS in the service manual. Thanks. Just what I'm looking for. Sorry to waist your time. Appreciate the response though. Was getting total mis-information from others even though I emphasized it was a factory points application. Jeff
