Waiting on 2 window bolts the other day so began cleaning and detailing the 57 year old Jambs here’s before.

Degreaser, solvent, elbow grease, cleaner wax. Here’s after pics. Passenger side glass complete including new door seal, door frame seal, felts etc. had to shrink pics, keep getting the “ too big” warning

Glass bolts arrived so I got the driver side quarter glass bolted into place last night. Today I’ll install the door frame seal, then adjust the quarter glass. After that I’ll clean and detail the door, jamb and install the new door seal. Planning on taking the car up to a first Fridays near the house, weather is amazing. I guess next steps will be shopping for door panels, can’t decide if I want green or black. Leaning towards the factory green.

Here’s jamb pic after cleaning and waxing. New door seal installed.

When I just want to share something where zoom-in detail isn't that important, I size the picture for 5" wide, then change dpi to 100. Also, if you save as PNG instead of JPG it takes less memory. That aside, doing great work here.

So decided the whole patina thing ain’t gonna fly so shopping for a good body n paint outfit. One hot rod shop, starting with sand blasting, quoted $60k to $80k. Jeezuz. Anyway, screwing around one day decided to follow through with an idea of green led’s under the 8 barrel hood butterflies.

I don’t do much Cuda work in the hot summer. 20 year anniversary for my Ram so had the 5.7 rebuilt and new silver paint. Adding 2018 Ram silver wheels and 305x20 Proxes.

Engine had 355k miles and ran fine. I’ve retired and no interest in a new truck so decided to keep on driving this amazing machine

Really impressed with Sam’s Auto Body. They removed the bed, doors and hood. 2018 Ram silver wheels with 305 Proxes went on as soon as I got home

Sams took care of little details like repainting the wiper arms, tow hooks, spoiler repair, new decals and pin stripe

it's nice to see a company take pride in their work these days. most just want in 'n' out fast jobs for maximum profit.
neil.
Agreed. Sam’s was the only shop that provided an itemized estimate. 3 other shops said “ we start at $9500, bring it on in. Sam’s has a lifetime
guarantee too.

Dusted off the Cuda the other day, nice to have windows and seals. What a joy to drive, no leaks and perfectly functional. Even though all of my wiring is new I finally installed a charge wire from the alternator direct to battery and saw an immediate change in the ammeter behavior. The needle returned to center much quicker and was very steady ( and I always charge the battery before starting as an extra precaution) even at lower RPM’s. It’s nice to know that the charge current is no longer only routed through the harness and across the gauge.
