1968 Dart GTS convertible ....30 year time machine

I found out I can register it in NY .....they will give me a non transferable title ....do the background check and than give me a transferable registration. The only problem is no place to put the dart ..it has to go
 
I spent the weekend cleaning all of the parts. Everything was dirty from sitting for 30 years. It is funny I keep finding stuff out about this car. You never get good sheet metal from Buffalo ....well that green paint trunk lid is original paint with a sticker from the local dodge dealer here in town
 
believe me i figure that the car is about 5 maybe 6 hours away but i can not afford it other wise it would be parked in my garage!!!!!!!!
 
I have a local guy who wants to give $1000. For engine
$700. For rear end
$400. Fan and shroud
Than I am stuck trying to make room in the garage while I part it out.....no fun.....wait until you see the car with the interior in it. The hubcaps are on and look great!
 
Little by little it is starting to look like a car again

It has to go. I can do the work myself but other cars come first. I don't have space to keep it inside and don't have the heart to sit out side in a Buffalo winter
 
It has 4 speed pedals but some one cut floor and welded in auto floor. I can ship to Seattle Washington for $1500. How much further away from Buffalo are you??? That is 2500 miles

I wish I could put it away for years...like when my kids grow up move out....than play with it . If I keep it it will just sit ... happy Turkey day!
 
Rob, California is one of the easiest states to get a title in with just a bill of sale...

Yeah, I understand the other car thing except that for me the 68 GTS convertible is the top of the heap (having owned one since 1983). I do live in a slightly better climate for convertibles, though...

I miss my convertible but i have to finish my 69 GTS before i think of another project. It is a good deal on a very rare car.
 
Well two days left and 100 watchers.... reserve was Met in 12 hours of the auction ....the car is going
