Just wondering if anyone can help me with decoding my Vin. number....


LS23H8B111583 I am just trying to find out if this car is rare or not????


or if I sould try to get it back to origanal condition.....

You will find out more about your car with the codes off of the fender tag.

It's a rare one though GTS 383 car.

68 383 GTS built at the Hamtramk plant. I've learned a bit about the VIN sequence number lately so it's not completely easy to get an approximate build date, but my GTS had an SPD of 8/28/67. My VIN sequence number is a couple hundred larger than yours. More can be gleaned from the fender tag or broadcast sheet.

there were only 8,745 Dart GTS' built that year, including the hard tops and the convertibles. and the 383 was an option, so I would imagien that there were a fewer % of them put in, otherwise it coulda been the standard eh? just kiddin...

no it doesn't have a fender tag, it is my buddies car and we are just trying to found out anything about it.... oh ya by the way,, it does have a chevy 327 and a 4 speed trans in it out of a 63 corvette.....Why the the other owner did that??? We will never know....

It was probably the result of copious amounts of illegal drug use......
