Hi everyone. My name is Lorenzo and I want to say thank you for adding me to your site. I’m the new owner of a convertible 68 Dart GTS 383 4 barrel, 4 speed. The car spent the last 33 years outside in a tempo so it needs a complete restoration. I got the car 2 weeks ago and I started taking it apart in my garage. I joined to learn more about A body since it’s my first one. Looking forward to learn and sharing with you experts!

since the car is your first effort, May I strongly recommend you buy a box of tags and attach one to every single part you remove from the car, label them, and take lots of pictures. four speed cars are much more complicated.Even at my age assembling my four speed Barracuda is requiring lots of service manual time.(sat four years apart)
and by the way only 64 examples of your car were made!

i remember passing on buying one cause i didn't know they made them ...lucky you have fun
that has to be a under 50 build

Thanks for the advice. Is there a way to know how many triple green were made?

I don't believe anything color wise was documented. I had a 69 cuda that I was trying to whittle down to how many. It's a guess really, BUT with the different options/variables it logically amounts to a handful. Fingers crossed you find the rad, THAT will be pricey. Good luck!
From what I’ve read on the registry site they made 40 convertible 383 4 speed and 40 383 automatic so it’s a 1 of 40. Just missing the triple green info… I will keep digging.

First off. Welcome. Sweet rare car. Not up on 68 GTS convertibles as much as 69 examples. That said I believe 69 383 4spd convertibles only 34 were produced. I would think 68 would be similar ?? No matter what low production. Nice find and good luck with it.

I agree. I found the car broadcast building sheet under the drivers seat. In rough shape but it’s there. Gonna have someone decode it. Hopefully I get more information

Great find! Take a lot of pics before you try to remove it. I would say that would be a 3 person job.
Can't remember, fendertag still there?
