Hey Dave
What did Hurst use in 68 in the BO/LO cars?was it a dualgate like a Pontiac on a riser box?
The reason I ask is that I have some real good older Pontiac friends and we might be able to locate some 68 stuff.

Saw Paul and he didn't have any of the parts your looking for but did tell me that they do show up on e-gag quite often. He is into early GTO's and said that the 67 is a bit different than the 68 up.
Sorry I couldn't help but I will keep an eye for ya
Doug

How can one tell what year their shifter might be? Is there a way to determine year of manufacture?

this what I am looking for

I thought you would just buy the cable?

Looks like a regular B&M shift cable to me. This is from Troy's hemi dart clone.

That's the newer shifter, I believe the cable is different.

That one is a clevis end at the shifter and threaded on the trans side.

What end do you need?

That shifter I pictired looks the same as the one pictured on the outside except it doesn't have the incorrect line lock and t-handle.

The trans end of the cable I can make work it's the shifter end. May be I can buy new, not sure any help would be great.

Need to ask Troy. He's been through this.

Btw the top plate you can get repro gto. Relatively cheap.

I have an original shifter and cable out of a 1968 Hemi Dart if you are still interested. Only thing missing is the shifter ball and console. Let me know.
