I have a 1969 Plymouth Valiant and the key does not want to go in all of the time, sometimes it's normal and other times you start it in and then you have to giggle and wiggle it and sooner or latter it will go in. I bought a new key assembly but how do you change the assembly. This is a 1969 and the switch is in the dash. Thank You Webby.

Unscrew the bezel nut (needle nose pliers works well), drop the switch out from under the dash. Get the key to go all the way in and turn it back and forth while pushing on the little nub that pokes through from the side. When that pushes in, just pull the lock cylinder assembly out.

I'd try squirting some powdered graphite in there first. The old lock may just need some lubrication.
