1969 Dodge Dart Custom

hey guy's, here is my recent project, 318/904/8 1/4.. gonna build a street strip car... i'd like to model it as a early 70's build... maybe solid aluminum wheels or cragar ss's... i have some thoughts but i'd love to see some early 70's drag cars... i seem to remember a lot having splatter trunk paint and batteries relocated.. i know black under the hood is a no no in the mopar world... i kinda like the hemi dart look.... real simple.. anyone that has any photo's or input please step in! fisrt go around will be a built 318/904... been told you can wind the snot outta these motors!

Definitely '68 taillights. Nice clean car though.

yup, and i believe 68' caps too... the bezel need to be swapped anyway... pitted pretty good.

I've got its uglier twin. Looks a little nasty but it's solid, no metal to replace except one damaged fender. I'm planning to go with a pro touring look and swap the slant 6 for a beefed up 5.9 Magnum and 4 speed. It'll be interesting to follow your build.

69 Dart Custom was my first mopar in 1985. This is what I turned it into.. I was 17 years old with little to no money, but I fixed her up. Eventually it went to primer gray before I sold it, after owning it for 1 1/2 years. I put an 8 1/4 rear in it from under a 74 360 Duster. Super bee emblem in Blacked out grill, and blacked out tail lights. This was an early 80's look..sunshades were popular..and chrome 1/2 moons on the headlights...
