I have a 70 duster. 4 speed, 8 3/4 rear end 5x4 small bolt pattern. I currently have a set of 14x5.5 sbp ralley wheels with 205/70r14 bfgs . Running 10 inch rear drums . Honestly I really dig the look with this tire setup. However I do think I’d like to go a little bigger on the rear. So not a pro at this tire stuff but what’s the biggest rim and biggest tire I could run without!!!! I say again WITHOUT relocating springs and all that jaz....... I’m not near my car now but the measurements I previously took looked like with my current wheels bolted up I have 1.25 inches away from the leafs, that’s from the edge of the tire. The backspacing on my current 14x5.5 rims are 4.25 it looked like. Can I go 15X7 with a 255/60r15 tire and 4.25 backspace or is that gonna hit my leaf? If anyone who has a 70 duster can tell me what works I’d appreciate it. Looking at a new set of ralley rims from that wheel vintiques as they look nice and come with centercaps and offer the 4x5 wheels.

You are right on the money with your thinking , your center from your 14 inch wheel will fit the 15 inch wheel. But you will need a new 15 x 7 trim ring.

I’ve got a 71 Duster stock a body width Dana 60, 1” lowering springs with
15x8 with 4.5” back spacing and 255/60’s. Fit just fine!
