He went to a lot of trouble to tape it out that way. Must have been a matter of personal taste. Dont look bad . "Dare to be different" so they say.
I'm amazed by the $ value on it for a clone.

my guess. he didn't pull the moror when he painted under there. its easy to do just the front and sides but the firewall is easier to just rattle can with the motor there. motor should be orange too if it was gonna be built to 70 340 swinger specs.

Keyword in the description is"CLONE"...16k no way..now if it were numbers matching, different story..

One thing I can say is that if you are like me and love these cars as much as I do it is not so bad when you think about it.
Just like that blue demon clone thats been floating around.
My new truck cost me $27,000.00 two years ago and now its worth $16,000.00.
I always drive my trucks about two years then I trade up for a new one.
Buying new vehicles takes alot of money. In reality I paid $11,000.00 to lease a truck for two years.
I could pay a little more than that and have a car like this or that demon forever.
Not to mention insurance costs on new vehicle vs. these.
Not that bad when you think of of that way.

Looks like a nice car, I am sure it gets a lot of compliments. I am not sure if the price is reasonable as I don't know what none clone cars sell for.

Ebay cars with high bids rarely actually change hands, thus the transaction is bogus and never completed. People bid up the price but in many cases, never consumate the final sales transaction. Sorry to say, but Happens all the time.

Don't trust the final prices as a measure that the sale actually occurred.

You see alot of these guys putting stuff on ebay for like an appraisal.
But it does not make any sense for them or their friends to bid the stuff up hoping someone will bite. What appraisal does anyone get out of that?
I never trust anything about the bids on ebay. Especially when the bid name is something like "***a**" and "***b**" for example. These being the only two bidders and they have bid twenty times...
Then you see the same car in a different auction from the same owner the following week.

If it were a real 340 Swinger it would be in the 25-35K range. I know of a member that just sold a real clean 70 340 swinger for 34K
