Hey Mopar Guy,

I have a 71 duster that I was going to install a 1971 360 in. Problem is I don't have the matching trans. i have a 73 a-727 with no torque converter.

Is the 360 balanced using the torque converter or can I just buy a new one and be on my happy way?

Thanks guy,

A 360 is externally balanced, so yes the torque converter will have weights on it.

Neutral balanced torque converter (no weights)
B&M flexplate #10236 (727/360)
360 harmonic balancer
:burnout:

It has the balancer and the flex plate on it still.

I'm not sure about the neutral balanced converter, i'm looking at a b&m on the summit web site B&M 10416 - B&M Tork Master Torque Converters.
They don't say anything about the balancing on it.

How would I know if its neutral or not?

factory 360 convertor, close enough or go B&M and a 318-340 neutral convertor.

Alright let me see if i got this right.

My choices are;
360 balancer, 360 flex plate and weighted factory 360 balancer
or 360 balancer, b&m balanced flex plate and a neutral balanced converter.

Is the factory flex plate balanced?
