Posting this to try and judge interest...my eternal project 1972 duster drag /pro street car. Bought back in 1985. Originally a 318/auto/ 8-3/4 car from Alaska. Column shift auto. Tor-Red with black stripes.
I bought it with the intention of making a drag/street racer out of it. Had a 6 point bar installed, later upgraded to 10 point. Aluminum sheet sealing off the trunk area from passenger compartment. Heater area sealed off as well, but can easily be put back for street use. 2X3 square tube frame connectors. Springs moved into the rails using the then DC relocation kit. Car has been tubbed but frame rails are in stock location. Flat towing (remember doing that?) tabs and tow bar also fabbed. Track locator bar added too.
New 1/4 panels, 1 repro, and 1 OE cut off of of donor car, and tailight panel replaced due to rust/dented condition of the originals. Rust was in lower 2 inches of the quarters, and under the tailight openings.
Quarters have had the front edge of the wheel well moved ahead 2 inches for tire clearance, anticipating using a 12.2 or 11.5 slick. Should fit a 14X32 with a narrowed rear axle.
Floors and trunk have no rust. Engine compartment has surface rust only.
Spare tire well removed, sealed with tin, fuel cell installed. Although it was a low budget one, that I would replace it with a bottom exit one with safety foam in it if were doing it now.
Dash/heater/defroster gutted, floor shift steering column installed.Stock bench seats discarded. "Craftsman" who added the last 2 bars to the cage did not believe in masking the windows and weld spattered them badly, but I have complete replacement glass that goes with it, from a buddy's Duster that went the Lexan route.
If memory serves, it was once a P/S car, but has stock manual box in it now.
If someone wants it, I am going to put a fair amount of spare parts with it, pretty much all the Duster stuff I have for it.
Very good Sharkstooth grille and buckets.
Stock grille as well.
Partial 70 Rallye Dash and cluster.
Car has 4 inch bolt pattern now, but can include Moser cut down C body axles with Green bearings and 4.5 bolt pattern. Rear housing is stock width.
4 rebuilt drum brake assemblies with all new Raybestos /Napa parts.
DC rear spoiler, not the Go-wing type.
Stored inside since 1985. Located in Omaha, Nebraska.

Would like to get $3500.00
I have all the receipts for anything done to it or bought for it. I need, not want, to sell it due to the fact that I don't have enough time to finish it, and would like to use the money to further the Valiant that I have.
Gonna post some pics so you can see what we're dealing with!
Thanks for looking,
Alan
