1974 Dart Restoration

The one year aniversary of my Dart being delivered was yesterday. I have had several setbacks this year, but I am finally starting to see some progress. At least I think it's progress.

Looks like a solid car and going to be a fun build. Sorry to hear about the setbacks, but in the end it's all good...

Here are somce recent shots. I have finished the front end rebuild and I am now starting on the rear end rebuild. New off set leaf springs, new shocks, and rear diff rebuild. I am also staring on the interior. i am converting over to black after some TLC. At least thats the plan today. We'll see?

What color is that exactly? Ours is "Avacado Green Poly". I also have a 1973, 4-door that I want to turn into a Police car. You aren't looking to replace those dog-dish hub caps are you? If so, I would be interested in them.
We'll be watching your build as it seems to be very close to what we have as well. This picture was taken before we painted the roof satin black for the winter months. We'd like to have it done for real this spring.

I have been following your car as well because I believe they are the same color. I have not decided on the new color yet. I have changed my mind several times. I am just not a green type of guy. Any ideas?

At the moment I am thinking of painting the wheels to match the car and keeping the hub caps, but if that changes I will give you first chance at them.

Keep up the good work. You both will remember this car forever.

We have gotton quite a few comments on the Dart color and I'd say 95% are positive just because it's a color/shade not really seen on todays cars, part of its uniqueness. Originally tis was going to be my sons "daily-driver" to H.S. but I think we'll find him something else and keep this as our, (mainly his) project/show car.

I've been crazy busy with work and the Kids but I have started to relocate my rear springs, took out the front and rear glass to clean up the channels and started to disassemble the Rear end to convert over to 72 style Tail.

318- I did notice your name. My high school number was 18, and I have no idea where Mopardude came from. I think I just couldn't come up with a name so I pulled it out of my A#%.

I do have a Red Ram 1500 with a 5.7. I looks a lot like that Yellow pic on your profile. LOL
