I searched the forums and didn’t see these discussed anywhere. But has anyone tried the brand new Dart door hinges being sold on eBay?

I saw some YouTube videos of people using the eBay ones for other makes successfully…and just came across the dart ones on eBay. Yes…I know I could just rebuild mine (I’ve done it several times for other cars)…but I would rather just bolt on some new ones if they are decent.

The threaded inserts on the lowers look very poorly made.. Hopefully that's not a sign of the entire product

I didn’t notice that when I looked at them on my phone…good catch!

Looks like AMD makes some too ……but they are a little more, but not too bad. This is for my daily driver….otherwise I’d just send mine out to be rebuilt, but it would be awful cold until I got them back…lol

Dorman 924-108 is a van hinge, but if you drill out one of the mounting holes it’s the same as an A-body lower hinge. They’re ~$38 on Amazon. It lists as a driver’s side, but they come loosely assembled so you just flip the pin direction and you’ve got a passenger side.

If you’re not worried about correct, it’s an inexpensive option. Or buy a set and run them until you get the originals rebuilt!
