Was a Swinger Demon even produced? Fender tag reports that my 74 Dodge Dart swinger was a Dart, Demon. (LH23) and the car came with body side stripes,black(V5X). Car is all original and all numbers match. Was wondering if this was possible since I thought the Demon name was for "Sport" style bodies.

Nope! Demon was 71 and 72 only.

Nope.

The code was the same, so the fender tag decoder's just like the body style as a Dart/Demon. Dart Sports had the same code, it's just not usually listed in the output of the online decoders.

Thanks guys. I didn't think so. Still curious about the black side stripes that were called out since the car doesn't have them on there. It's been over 20 years since my last Mopar so I'm playing a lot of catch up.

The V5X code was used for the stainless/rubber trim that ran the length of the body line. You can see some of it on the sides of my Darts in my signature pic. My '74 duster had it as well, but by '74 it was just a "stick on" rubber trim.
