For sale is my 1996 Dodge B3500 5.9L/Auto. 161+k miles. Currently not running. Wife wants it gone & no time, money, or energy to get it going again. I would love for a Mopar guy to haul it off, fix it, & get it back on the road. But if someone here doesn't buy the whole blue tamale, I'm pulling the drive train & you might see it in Cars For Parts. Here's the skinny: bought in 1997 w/ 30k miles. BODY: Never wrecked with me, but it had already been hit in the rear (or backed into something) & the back end repainted when I got it. That paint is still great & all of the Chrysler paint is chalky & coming off. Other than a wavy back door & a scrape on one of the middle doors, the body is straight. I think the roof has some hail dents. No rust underneath. The roof & hood were stripped for epoxy painting, which I never got around to. Windshield is cracked; all other glass is good. ENGINE: 5.9L Magnum ran until just recently. Has recently-rebuilt cylinder heads (Dover, Chattanooga), because it was getting smoky at start up. New timing chain, gaskets, etc. while there. Had a tap when restarted that I think is a lifter. Recently, just turns over but won't start. Haven't investigated. TRANS: 46RH rebuilt by my father (who's built 727's since the 80's) after the OD piston seal failed. New Auto Zone torque convertor. But never shifted 3-4 quite right after reinstalling. COOLING: New water pump, thermostat, temp sensor, & hoses. Radiator was rodded out. A/C got weak, then quit shortly before heads pulled. CHASSIS: new front rotors, pads, bearings, seals, & wheel studs (8-lug). Rear drum past ID limit, but with recent shoes. Recent U-joints. Has 9-1/4 open diff with 3.90 gears, if I remember rightly. 16" tires hold air, but need replacing. Suspension parts all have 'patina'. Class III hitch w/ wiring plug. INTERIOR: Front seats in good shape & super comfy. Recent tear in driver's armrest. 1st back seat still in; all others out, but available. Headliner drooping, so pulled panels out. Carpets are OK up front & dirty in back from hauling stuff. ELECTRICAL: New battery. When last on road, all lights, gauges, windows, wipers (off for priming hood), vent fans, cruise, charging system worked. I've lost the remote fob & the radio quit recently. Will include a full set of original Chrysler manuals & any van-specific spares. Repeat: Not Running! Must haul off! I welcome any questions. Have title. $600 OBO (which really means $500). No trades, cash only. West Knoxville area, TN.

FWIW, I used the Eastwood rust treatment on the hood after I stripped the paint just to get any pits neutralized. Leaves a phosphated surface. Was about to start that on the top then epoxy prime both when the running troubles started.
