2 for me...

Okay, since only a couple of people apparently want to play along, I'll tell you. I haven't had a cigarette since last Saturday, and MommaCat hasn't had one since last Friday. Hopefully, we can keep this going this time. Wish us luck!

Congrats keep it up. I quit 27 years ago. Up until about 5 years ago still had the urge for one. :wack:

I quit March 31, 2001. Had one on September 11th, then no more since. You both can do it...and will smell better!!

Thanks for all the encouragement. We're having to come up with different things to do instead of our usual habit (while driving, during yard work, post-fun smoke, etc), but so far we've been successful. We've managed not to break down and buy any even though we've been pretty stressed out a couple times since we quit. I know it's only been a few days, but you don't know my wife's family. I've even gone so far as to tell the local Walgreen's, where we usually bought our smokes, not to sell them to us anymore. They're all pulling and praying for us. Our son is excited, because he hated the fact that we smoked. He's happy that maybe he'll have us around longer than he would have had we not quit. It's just going to be getting past these first couple of weeks, and then I think we'll be okay. We'll still have cravings, I'm sure, but we'll have new habits in place of the old one and we'll know what to do when the cravings hit. That's the idea, anyway. Thanks again!
