I have a 2 speed wiper motor and the porceline ballast resistor is cracked. I'm curious if these are similar to the resistors used on ignition systems. Anyone know?

I found one just like that, weird never seen one with a resistor. Lemme know if you would like this one, I'll take a closer look to make sure resistor looks good.

I cannot find what resistance they should be. A coil resistor would be nowhere near enough

You MIGHT get by if you took a 4 terminal ballast and wired both resistors in series. That is, hook a jumper across two terminals at one end, and use the two terminals at the other end for your resistor terminals. If they run way too fast on low speed, you know you don't have enough.

One of the diagrams I found for the 3 speed motor showed a 7 ohm resistor for "medium" speed
