I gave up beef some time ago. I'm not a fanatic. If someone puts beef infront of me I'll eat it. But I don't buy it at the store.
I know they are supposed to have stopped making cows be canabals (spongy brain disease) but a cow is made to eat grass. With the bovine growth hormone and anti-biotics they give cows it just isn't worth it. I learned on PBS that they have to give them the anti-biotics because the bacteria in a cow's digestive tract, which allows it to process celulos ,"explodes" when they confine the cow to corn (high sugar) in the feed lot. On top of that, God didn't make a cow to be a garbage disposal and eat other cows. Now a pig is different. That animal can eat anything and it's normal.
One thing about beef. Cow's lay in their own poop. I can't figure out how a animal that stinks so much when it's alive smells so good when you "burn" it.
Now enjoy that burger.LOL

I am the same and when I do have a steak put in front of me and enjoy it
I try to follow up the next day or two with one of my favorites:-D

I scramble three eggs in a skillet and toss in one can of spinach with toast.:cheers: with a smidgen of vinegar and hot souse.
But I have to say I enjoy pork more.
But a good T bone sure taste good now and then.:-D
