Congratulations to 'Garry in AZ' (FABO) for winning the Top Qualifier title for the 2019 NHRA Mopar Express Lane Nationals with a very nice total of 27.5 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifier in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, the #5 qualifier in Top Fuel and the #6 qualifier in Funny Car. Way to go!

Here are the results and point standings following completion of the 19th NHRA event of the 2019 season, the 35th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals, the 1st event of the six-race Countdown.

Let's just say the game results from this event also weren't quite as stellar as usual, but better than the Lucas Oil Nationals.
Congratulations to 'johnnycuda' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the Mopar Express Lane Nationals with a total of 110.0 points. He was helped with both E.T. and Speed bonus points in Top Fuel and also with the bonus points for the new E.T. National Record set by Brittany Force during qualifying. His Funny Car pick lost in the finals, his Top Fuel pick lost in the semi-finals, his Pro Stock Motorcycle pick lost in second round, and his Pro Stock pick lost in the opening round of eliminations.
'Back in Time' (FABO) took the event runner-up spot with 96.5 points.
'64BEL' was the top FBBO finisher with 53.5 points.

I just read that Cory McClenathan is going to run Dexter Tuttle's Top Fuel car in the final 3 races of the 2019 NHRA season and then hang up his driving gloves and retire.
It will be good to see Cory Mac back on the track, but it will be bittersweet knowing he's retiring after Pomona. But I'll be there to cheer him on.

Alexis DeJoria is all set to return for the complete 2020 NHRA season. The announcement says she is establishing an independent team with Nicky Boninfante and Del Worsham as co-crew chiefs. Her sponser will be named later.
