I didn't look at the Vegas weather for this coming weekend, but for here there is "chance of rain". Of course since both of the Bakersfield dirt tracks have activities this weekend, that same forecast extends over there :BangHead:

Reminder...
The 4-Wides are scored differently. I will be using the same scoring this year as previously used and, again, this scoring is only for the 4-Wide events, both Las Vegas and Carolina.

Points change for 4-Wide events ONLY!!!

Same scoring rules as the past several years:
* These events only have 3 rounds of eliminations. Event scoring will be similar to the NHRA points scoring.
* Qualifying position bonus points are the same as always
* Each pro elimination round is run with 4 cars per race rather than 2, and 2 cars advance from each of the first 2 rounds of eliminations.
* First round: Four races of four cars each. The 1st car of each race to cross the finish line will get 10 points, the 2nd car will get 5 points. Eight cars advance to the second round of eliminations.
* Second round: Two races of four cars each. Same scoring as the first round. Four cars advance to the final round of eliminations.
* Final round: One race of four cars. 1st Place finisher will get 10 points, 2nd Place will get 5 points, 3rd Place will get 3 points, 4th Place will get 1 point.
* Same scoring for quickest e.t. and fastest speed for the event and for any national record set at this event.

Again, this scoring will be for the 4-Wide events only.

Congratulations to 'TT5.9mag' (FABO) for winning the 2024 NHRA Four-Wide Nationals (Las Vegas) Top Qualifier title with a very nice total of 21.5 bonus points. 'He picked the #1 qualifier in Funny Car, the #3 qualifier in Pro Stock, and the #4 qualifier in Top Fuel.
'johnnycuda' (FABO) was right behind with 21.0 bonus points.
'64BEL' was the top FBBO qualifier with 20.5 bonus points.

* 4 different Top Fuel drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #4 qualifier Brittany Force (4 picks) and #5 qualifier Steve Torrence (5 picks). There is a possibility of another head-to-head matchup (possibly three drivers) in Round 2 if all drivers survive Round 1.
* 5 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #2 qualifier John Force (3 picks) and #10 qualifier Matt Hagan (4 picks). There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 (one with 3 drivers and one with 2 drivers) if all drivers survive Round 1.

Congratulations to 'Duster79' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 2024 NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Las Vegas Winternationals with a very nice total of 89.5 points. All three of his Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock picks raced in the final round of eliminations but only his Funny Car pick was a class winner. He was also helped with Speed bonus points in Funny Car.
'memike' (FABO) and 'ocdart' (FABO) shared the runner-up spot with 86.0 points each. All three of their professional class picks raced in the final round of eliminations but none were class winners.
The top FBBO player was '64BEL' with 74.5 points.
