2025 15th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - I Can't Wait!!!

Seems like NHRA has been silent with regards to all pro categories and what they will do to complete the race.

The only schedule change on the nhra.com website was yesterday when they announced a pro-category Q1 time change to 10:00am PST because of the pending weather. Q2 start time was also changed to 12:30pm PST.

My girl lives 5 minutes from the track and I left her house at 7am in the rain. The track dryers are going to be working double time between races to keep the track dry. I don’t see how they’re going to do it.

From my one experience when they canceled from rain they won’t say anything until:

A. The track gets so soaked that they won’t be able to dry it no matter how much time they have.

B. They run out of time to dry the track and race before curfew.

The nhra.com website shows all Friday racing cancelled due to weather. Q1 pro qualifying now scheduled for 10:00am PST on Saturday with Q2 to follow starting at 12:30pm PST.
The current SoCal weather forecast is for rain all the way through Monday. The first "dry" day on the forecast is Tuesday.
Stay tuned.

Yup. Been a constant light rain all damn day. Saturday (tomorrow) is supposed to be the heaviest part of the storm, with heavy rain and thunderstorms predicted. Not looking good.

Article in today's The Orange County Register newspaper 'Sports' section says, "If there is no qualifying for the final event of the season, (Doug) Kalitta will start in the No. 1 position based on points."

Just got my credit for today applied to the Winter Nationals. Will have to see if they can get the track into shape tomorrow.

No qualifying runs were made at the NHRA Finals in Pomona because of continuing rain. Qualifying position was determined by the current Championship Points.
No qualifying bonus points were awarded in our NHRA "Pick 'Em" game. This is the same as the NASCAR game when qualifying is cancelled due to weather.

We have 17 players this week and 11 different driver combos made up of:
* 5 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations if all drivers survive Round 1.
* 5 different Funny Car drivers. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations if both drivers survive Round 1.

* 3 different Pro Stock drivers with the earliest possibility of a head-to-head matchup in the semi-final round of eliminations if both drivers survive.
* 3 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers. The earliest possibility of any head-to-head mathup is the semi-final round of eliminations if the drivers survive.

Good luck all!
