2025 Carlisle FxBO Tent Luncheon

The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals are right around the corner! (July 10, 2025 - July 13, 2025)

As a reminder, please list FBBO as your "car club" when registering a car. This helps us get a better tent for all of us to enjoy.
(We have been unable to get Carlisle to merge FABO, FBBO, FCBO, FEBO, etc. all into one for tent activities. So a few years ago we decided just to use FBBO. Note that registering your car with FBBO as your car club does NOTHING with respect to where your car gets shown, awards, etc. It merely allows us to get a decent tent for all to enjoy.)

As usual, we will be planning a big luncheon get together at the tent on Saturday. This luncheon is becoming very successful and enjoyable due to many members stopping by and also helping out (we have added more tables and chairs too). For all those that have helped or stopped by in previous years - THANK YOU! Our tent is growing so let's keep it going!

For those who may be new to FABO or the tent:

On Saturday, July 12, we will have a luncheon starting at Noon for all FxBO members at Carlisle. Please stop by and be part of the fun!​


We also have water and possibly other drinks at the tent on Friday so FxBO members can stop by and get a drink in the shade. We will also likely get together Friday for lunch, and maybe for dinner too for those members who are staying over in or near the fairgrounds. More to come as we make further plans.

If you have any ideas for tent activities, or for improvements to how we have done things in the past, please respond on this thread or send me a PM. I am happy to consider all ideas!

Friday: Noon to 1PM
Bring your own lunch and hang out with other FxBO members. There will be water and beer available to drink - free as long as supplies last.

Saturday: Noon to 1PM
Picnic lunch to all FxBO members, plus water, soda, beer, meatball sandwiches, hot dogs, BBQ plus other stuff. All free as long as supplies last.
At about 1PM, I will raffle off some prizes to persons in attendance.

Available Friday and Saturday at the Tent
There will be a cooler there with water, beer and perhaps other beverages. If you are hot and need a drink or shade, stop by and grab one. Again, free as long as supplies last. Chat with other FxBO members who may be there and make another car friend!

Available as needed
If you are new to Carlisle, need some help, or have questions, stop by and see me at spots E45 & E46. I'll be running around a lot, but my phone number will be posted there if I'm not there. I'm happy to help if I can.

(Richard @69bfan continues to be a great supporter of our sites, he has provided lots of support for the tent every year and has lots of quality parts for our cars. Please stop by and see him at rows H and I, just below building T.)

Ok !! I know we have a bunch of members going because I am jealous as I ever have been about anything, I want to go so bad I thought about taking a loan out lol..

There is usually pretty good representation from the A body folks - Last year we had about 120 folks total, so we've upped the tables and chairs. Hopefully the weather will be good!

Evening between 5:30 and 6: For those on the grounds (or hanging out) gather to decide what to do for dinner. Barry and I will likely cook something, but we can decide as a group. We are winging it, so join us if you'd like (and are flexible)!

Will be there! Black "BluePrint Engines" trailer and a sublime Dart! With some engine packages and show specials!

Well that ******* sucks. Ya, come to the show but you’re not welcome. What a load of ****. I’ll say it B4 anyone else does. **** u guys! Next year I’ll avoid the FXBO tent like the ******* bubonic plague! I won’t be wearing anything to associate me with any of u guys. Kim

Big wtf...won't be renewing membership either. Doubt that is a true statement though. I was planning on a trip tomorrow to wander around and check out some cars, was going to introduce myself to a lot of members I havent met yet. Ones that know me I will stop by your spaces and say hello anyway.

Well with ppl that don’t know **** shouldn’t be spouting off at the mouth and pissing ppl off. We have plans to go down next year but because of this member I can say we won’t be. Yes, I put him on ignore. Kim

Wow, that's pretty harsh statement based off some off hand comment. Perhaps check on the validity of it first.
I run the tent every year (I am a moderator on FBBO). It is complete bullshit that people without cars aren't welcome. We don't care if you are an A body, B body, C body, etc. guy or gal. If you are registered on one of Joey's sites, you (and family/ friends) are more than welcome to come to the tent, enjoy the beer, food and great company there. Everyone is welcome and we don't discriminate regardless of what kind of car they have or prefer.

Don't believe me? Ask some of the people who were there.

Absolutely. It has been for years, still is and always will be.
 
It appears that the “sense of humor” is just as absent as the sarcasm detector with some people.
Everyone was welcome to stop by. Several of us without cars in the show were in the tent. The only restriction was that you could only eat the food if you were a forum member.
Do you really think people are this mean to others? Really ?

So now the coward removes his post. He shouldn’t have said **** he didn’t know anything about. Maybe he should have kept his trap shut and checkered the validity before he misspoke. Maybe he should fill his mouth with his own bullshit or maybe he already has. Kim
 
So some bozo says ppl without cars can't come to tent? Then someone else says **** all you guys? No where did any of the tent organizers say you have to have a car on the show field to be able to go to tent did they????
