Hi,
Is anyone running this combo? I want to do this on my '72 Valiant 4dr on all 4 corners. Any pics or comments welcome! thanks, nick

I have 215/60-14s on 5.5" Mopar Ralleys. They are on the front of my '65 Barracuda. I think they look great. A reputable tire shop will tell you if the 225 is ok. They should have a chart that shows Recommended & Permitable sizes by rim width.

I would stick with a 205/60 or 215/60 on 5.5 rims. any bigger than that and you will have uneven wear. too much tire pressure and they will wear in the center of the tire. not too much pressure and they will wear on the edges.

Mine are 215-14 too but I think they are 70 series. It is a wheel well full but they sure do ride better than the 205-60s. I took those back off months ago, Magnum 500 wheels and all.

Thanks guys, for the replies....I remember seeing this set up on a 70 Dart 340 at the Nationals a while ago...thought it looked pretty good. Based on the uneven wear comments I may just stick with 195 or 205- 70's for now on the 5.5" rims. Thanks again.

One a few of my other dart projects; I ran 15x7 w/235-60-15 on the back, 15x6 (stock C body size) with 205-70-15s.

I ran them on the back of my '70 Duster for a while with stock 14x5.5" wheels and noticed uneven tire wear in the center after 6000 miles or so. I'd also recommend sticking with 215 or 205-width tires on those wheels. I had 205/70-R14 BFG Radial T/As in the front and they worked fine, wore much more evenly.
