This is my 65 Barracuda
273
9 to 1
manifolds and a 2.5 single exhaust with a chambered muffler
comp 270s solid 224 @.50, 468 lift before .022 lash.

Thanks babyblue. That's got a nice sound. The 2 1/2" sure does make it throaty. I think that's the way I'll go with mine. Thanks! Toolmanmike

sounds really nice.that cam sounds very idle friendly considering its in a 273.what muffler are you running?

The muffler is a no name brand from a local shop. Not sure what it was.
I was going to do dual 2 1/4 first, but I was in a rush and didn't trim the cross member. It turned out ok. I was not sure about the cam, but it is a nice size for the 273. Good torque and pulls to 5800. It would be nice to get headers at some point though. For what it is, a 273 auto with manifolds, I'm pretty impressed. It moves out, and with the 3.55's she la down some rubber.

The road is a little damp here, but even on a dry day it'll smokem!

good tone under acceleration as well.got any clips of your other car with the t-ram?

Any more details on the 273 combo (intake, carb, heads, stall)? The comp 270 doesn't sound too aggressive in it but it seem pretty peppy for a 273. Anything you would change?

Has a stock 65 single plane 4 bbl intake, 600 Carter afb (like Edelbrock), heads are stock 1965 I milled .032 and pocket ported. Flat tops, block decked .040 comes out to 9 to 1 compression.

Stock trans and converter, actually gets second gear scratch sometimes.

I would have gotten different pistons and closer to 10 to 1 if I were to change anything. But the pistons were new in it, I just honed, rerung, balanced, and ground the crank. And a little head work.

Overall its a very nice strong running engine with decent power for the cubes.

I had a 600 holley on it, but the Carter has a little better off idle response and smoother transition to wide open.
