ANYONe running a 275/60 15 tire on thier 67 - 69 Dart?

Does the tire look BIG on your car and do you wish you should have went with a 255 instead?

Do you have pics?

Thanks

I think the tire 275-60-15 looks great. You will need to move the springs in to get them to fit. Mine rub in harder corners and driveways. 255 is not much different but I'm thinking the 1/4" less on each side may eliminate any rubbing I have now but I like the height of the 275.

Nice...! what rim offset do you use. THe reason I am thinking 255 as it is 27" vrs 28" and is only about 3/4" wider. Like you I am worried about rubbing

Again real nice!

I have 8" wide rims with 5 1/4 offset

Thanks

I'm running a 7" wide wheel with a 3.75" backspacing. My car has had the springs moved under the frame and has a Dana 60 rear end so its not stock. I believe the rear end width on my car is standard A body at 56.25"

The backspacing or offset of the wheel has to be perfect to make the big tire fit. The correct back spacing would probably be 4.25 with an 8" wheel for a stock width rearend.

My 68 GTS has the stock RR and I'm running 8" wide with 4.5" BS. I have 245-60-15 and they are pretty close, inside and outside.

This tech tip from BBD should be bookmarked on EVERYONE'S computer. Follow the steps correctly and you will have the perfect backspace and clearance for you car. Takes all of the guess work out of the equation. I measured about 10 times before ordering my new wheels and they fit like a glove. Perfectly centered in the wheel well.

How To Measure For The Correct Backspace

I have 275/60/15 with 8 inch rims 4.25 back spacing and stock leaf spring set up. It rubs a bit with the trunk loaded but no problems and looks fat. I have a question for the guys. I want to run 28/10/15 cheater slicks. will they fit???
