I've got a pair of 11.5x28 ET Streets to put on my 62 savoy. Nine inches tread width. They are going on a 15x8.5 centerline, double drilled for bbp and sbp.
Will the 28" tall tire also fit on my 67 Cuda notch, or are they too tall? Almost positive the width won't be a problem. Plenty of bs on the centerlines
For reference, was a 273/7 1/4. I have an a body 8 3/4 for it, but a 9"ford is also a possibility.
(Haven't made a firm decision on a 408 or 511. Leaning big block. ).

I've always dealt with darts but my feelings they should be fine.

I have 275/60/15 Nitto drag radials on the rear of my 67 notch. According to published specs, they are 28 inches tall, section width is 11 inches, tread is nine inches wide. 8 3/4 rear. Wheels are 15x8 Cragars. Fit fine.

275/60/15 Nitto on oem style steelies left 1/2" MAX to leafs on stk 8 3/4 suspension(sorry no pic). Without tire the rim was 1 1/8" from ls.
Same rim now with BFG 245/60/15 leaves same room, 1/2" with tire.
**edit** pics are with it jacked up on diff. NOT at ride height.

I also have had 275/60-15s on my 68 Barracuda, with a stock-width rearend. The only place they get close is at the bottom front corner, IF.....IF you have the wrong bs.
If they were tucked in, towards the centerline of the car, there is lots of room.
I even put 325/50-15s on 10s, in there, with a narrowed rear and springs moved over a bit. Ok to be honest, I had to bring out the BFH, and pound out a couple of spots so she would corner without rubbing.
