There isn't a max wedge head on the planet that will be too big for a 440. The OOTB Victor Max Wedge is a Max Wedge in name only. Only the port opening is max wedge in size unless you have them ported.

We've used fully ported, max wedge sized Indy EZ heads on a 440 and they worked great.

for what you want to do get the biggest flowing head you can find. which would be something like their 572-13 head.
