Trying to find out if it was a option to have a door mounted passenger mirror on these cars. The fastbacks are kind of hard to view passenger side traffic with car design. They have a huge blindspot.

If you try to put a pass mirror on the car, be careful where you put it...

The vertical post for the vent window will get in the way if you don't check carefully...

Have a helper hold it in place while you check it from the drivers seat point of view before choosing a final position...

Also check to make sure that the vent window will open all the way with the mirror position that you pick before drilling the holes...

Good Luck.

The 68 barracuda brochure does not list any pass mirrors as an option and all of the cars in it do not have a pass mirror in the pictures... FWIW...

They didn't come passenger side mirrors I am not sure but I think they didn't offer them until 70. Does anyone know ?

I added it to my 67 but I don't care about restoration

My black car is a factory right mirror. i'm restoring another one that is a factory right mirror car. In 67 the mirror (either really) is pretty worthless due to the position of the mirror back on the door, where in 68-9 it was moved to the vent post and much more useful then the 67 location.

67-68 - right mirror is code 537
68 - right mirror is code G31

Is there really a diff. between the right and left mirrors ? thinking about an adjustable one for the drivers side, and trying to use the original for the pass. side. any comments? I ain`t worried about restoration either, want it to look stock, but run like ----gang busters!

The right mirror on my 67 has a long cable remote. that remote is mounted in a 2nd ignition switch bezel. All homemade. Quite expensive project. 3 mirrors used. Not recommended.

Hate to say but mine came with two mirrorsQUOTE=cawley;1970835910]They didn't come passenger side mirrors I am not sure but I think they didn't offer them until 70. Does anyone know ?[/QUOTE]

The same mirror was a check box option for c-body. Ask for it and have money would get it on a-body. On a-body build sheet or dealer installed is the question.

I had an error. The 69, not 68, right mirror was code G-31

The angle of the mirror frame is slightly different for passenger side. This is the only style they came in IF the passenger side mirror was factory.

My 68 Barracuda is coded for and has dual mirrors with factory drivers remote. The factory right hand mirror matches the remote style.

The 68-up passenger mirror is set back like you said from the 67 mounting.....Still is pretty worthless. I can't ever see anything out of it. I know other people with 68-69's that say the same thing.

I've seen people install large convex truck mirrors (blind spot mirrors) over the whole passenger mirror to make them somewhat useful. I think there is a size that covers the whole mirror.

Dad did the same thing with the convex mirror, it helps a bit.
Back edge of mirror is 36" from back edge of door.
