Where is the picture to look at?
I don't know what kind of clearance you'd get with them. Like said above, there is a fella here that has them on his small ock and I do not remember if he set it up in line or crossed. But I don't not remember any issues with the valve covers and the adapters.

and the adapters are almost flat across the bottom
 
Charles as those Offenhauser "cross ram" adapters on his rat truck. It's our opinion that they are made strictly for looks. They don't turn the intake into a cross ram. A cross ram is an intake that feeds cylinders from opposite sides for longer travel to create more velocity. Those Offenhauser adapters do not accomplish that. While Charles' truck runs good, it does have a tendency to load up at idle. He's done every kinda tuning to get rid of it. We think it's from fuel pooling up in the adapters. He's just gonna live with it because it reeks awesome coolness. I think I would leave them on too.
