3.9 Magnum in dart

I apologize. I let this thread get the best of me.
Nothing at all wrong with personalizing. A swap of any kind is an enormous undertaking unless you know a good bit of auto mechanics.
It shouldn't matter, but I didn't even consider your young age, even though I didn't know it when I got snotty.
I hope you get it running well. Sounds like you're getting good advice.

The hoses that go into the vacuum amplifier, You cant get anymore with the same end on them. At least that I have found. If you know where to get them, let me know. I really need to redo the vacuum hoses.
They're most-likely assembly-line parts only , henceforth their different ends .
Chrysler used Good-Year and Gates , and another supplier whose name escapes me right now , for belts and hoses . It's not uncommon to find an original vehicle with 3 different vendors' rubber items .

Also , the clamps that were used to affix the hoses to the EEC and its metal ( to the gas tank ) line *might* be available via a reproduction company ; otherwise , just use typical gear-drive clamps , being very careful to not over torque and crack / break-off the brittle connectors .

As a side note to this inquiry :
It's interesting that , as the once-unpopular years' cars ( primarily , 1972 & later ) become valuable / collectable , restoring them creates *unique* challenges , IF one wishes to properly restore them . Case-in-point , the EEC / emissions-control devices' hoses and their retainers .
Back in the not-too-distant past , it was routine to disconnect and dispose-of any and all smog control devices ( A.I.R. Pumps , EGR , EEC , etc. ) ; now these very undesirable parts are suddenly desirable !

Who's going to step-up and repro this stuff , now that '72 & later cars are being restored ?

I would also like to find a super six set up to put on it. Instead of rebuilding my carb.
My advice to you is : rebuild your existing carburretor in the meantime . They're easy as pie to go-through ... I see school children rebuilding these all of the time !

Seriously , just get a rebuild kit and have at 'er .
Once you get your Dart purring again , then look for the sought-after Super Six induction :)

Wow sorry you had to take all that flack! I didt mean for that to happen with my post. All I wanted for you was literally to educate yourself a bit more. It's OK though. We can help you learn!

Well don't put the 3.9 in unless you have time and money I am one of the few that has done the swap and I would not do it again. All the mounts have to be made and then there is the wiring to many to list.

I might do the carb rebuild. At least I might be able to sell it later if I did get a super six set up.

I think you can put hoses on the Vac. Amp. If you take the plug off. I might try to do that. So I can get them redone. The one i was messing with today is old and the rubber is really sticky. It is still on my thumb where i cant get it off.

Im not doing it now. Im gonna play with the six for a while i guess. Unless a motor and trans come up (318,340,360) for real cheap or something like that.
