3-on-the-floor*or more?

Is there a source available for converting the 1960-1962 Valiant/Lancer three speed column shift to a floor shift (a nice neat Hurst shifter, yeah..)? Or even better (big reality shift coming here..) did Mopar ever make a 4 speed with floor shift that would bolt up to a 170?

I believe the Feather Duster had a floor shift coupled to a 170.

I junked a 65 Barracuda that was factory 4 speed with a 170 so yes it is possible.

Great beginning news. Does anyone have a thread on available trannies and/or whether there really was a Hurst/other shifter for this 4 speed and the Mopar numbers for the trans in case I have to go looking in an "auto parts recycling center", unless someone's got one of these handy?

The 170 was phased put in 69. The feather duster had a 225.
