Im currently running a 1988 318 roller cam motor in my dart and wondering if the 88 to 91 360 roller camshafts would work in my engine?

arent they the same except for the nose is shorter because of no fuel pump eccentric?

I have one of each engine, (89 318, 91 360) and did some research trying to learn what the stock cam specs were. The 318 is 390 lift IIRC, and the 360 is in the low 4s. I was thinking about putting my 360 cam in my 318, since I have a comp roller for the 360, but it runs so good, I hate to mess with it. Hope this helps, I found the specs over at Allpar, but it took some digging.

...........Hemi Ed , those are the specs for the LA engine non rollers....i've been told the 318-360 roller are the same....kim.....

I dont know the specs for the LA 318 rollers
But last fall I found these.

Lift Duration Installed CL
89-91 360 .391/.391 240/240 ???
5.2 Magnum .432/432 251/264 115
5.9 Magnum .410/.417 249/269 117

I recently installed a hughes HER9204 In my 5.2 Dakota with Hughes springs, Harland Sharp rockers, double roller, tensioner, Hughes airgap intake, stage 1 T-body, headers 3" single exhaust, and a tune. Entirely different animal. Towed with it to carlisle (4,600lb vehicle, 5,500 trailer 500lb of stuff and 2 people) real happy with it.

For light car the hughes wiplash cams look interesting.

Kim, you might be right, this calls out the roller 318 at .391 and is not specific on the roller 360. Good call.

I could have sworn I found a place that called out the roller 360, but this sure doesn't show it.
