I recently installed an Edelbrock intake and 600 CFM carb on my stock 318 1975 Duster.
Be wary of header / starter clearance. I installed a set of hedman shorty headers and had to get a smallet starter to have adequate clearance to plumb them in. Not a big problem just an added expense I hadn't accounted for.
Also, with the edelbrock carb you will probably need to mess around with throttle cable bracket / kickdown bracket. I ended up installing the Lokar set up, but again it was another expense I hadn't considered.
My car is equipped with the electronic ignition. Can anybody tell me if it has vacuum at idle or not? I do not have a vacuum guage and am trying to get this thing on the road without having to spend any more money. It idles well but misses under load. it is currently advanced 5 degrees.
Any suggestions?
