[FOR SALE] 340 Engine for sale...would you buy it?

If you are just going for a performance upgrade, Why not find a late model 360 and build it. They are much more plentiful than the 340, and priced as such.
 
Wow, wasn't expecting this much feedback...thank you all very much! I'm going to be back on here a lot once I get home! Some good points made, I'll keep looking elsewhere. I'm not in a huge rush, I just saw it and didn't know better. Thanks again!

That's a lot of money and by the time you get all the little things sorted, you'll have a pile in it. You would be money ahead by getting a 360 for far less.
 
Or just get a 340 for a better price than that. Too much questionable about this one for the price in my opinion.
 
I sold the running 340 out of my car last week for $850. It is a 68 block with X heads, everything else would need to be replaced. Just giving you a point of reference.
