Has anyone heard of a 340 marine block and is it worth an thing. Thanks:snakeman:

Not aware of them ever putting a 340 in a marine application, it makes no sense to me really.

I have seen plenty of 318s and some 360s though.

My brothers buddy has one in an early 70's Chrysler jet boat, red white with blue windows, been a while since I've seen it. Original I'm not sure but he collects weird odd original stuff like that. I rebuilt a 273 for 60's chris craft back in high school. Reverse rotation

Chrysler built boats until 1980, and used 340s in marine applications until 1975. It's worth getting if it's not crazy expensive.

As long as it was never run in salt water, and make sure it's crack free. Make sure the cooling jackets are not wicked rusty. Those ones rot backwards and also they crack a lot because some people never bptehred winterizing them.
