340 oil pressure ?

I just installed a MSD 6Al box on my 65 dart and my oil pressure was at 75 when warmed up and would stay there but coming home tonight from a car show it was at 50 or so. Any ideas why it went down I use rotella 10/40 is the msd having an effect?

your MSD will not have any effect on your oil pressure. Is this the first time you noticed a drop?

msd shouldn't affect oil pressure at all.

yes 1st time for a drop don't know if the sending unit is going bad. I have a oil leak coming from the filter housing I think other than that no leaks

Put a live test gauge on it to verify the dash gauge is accurate.

I have a autometer mech. gauge so I know were the pressure is. Most of the guys at work say it's no big deal so I just wanted more Mopar oppions

Any chance you kinked the line going to the gauge during the distributor install?

no the distributor is the mopar one the only thing I put in was the box. But the pressure goes from 50-75 back and forth so it is ok I think until it hits 0 I should be fine

I think your oil pressure line has air in it, did you bleed it?
