360 is coming tomorrow with Question

after going to here it run last weakend its being delevered tomorrow.It firered right up no ticks no knocks or blue smoke.Its not a rebuilder yet. I plan on a mild cam alum intake my 340 j heads holly carb.Now my Question the tourque converter is extra he says but the ring gear he said today is a little chewed up he says you decide if you want it.So what should I look for as far as saying no thanks.I should put in a 3000 stall but as normal money is tight.When he started last weak end 2 to 3 times the starter grab on ok.What do you say.:cheers:
 
NO...if it took 2 or 3 times before, then it will only get worse.
there is only one fix for that ...replacement....put a stock one in if money is tight and when things get better later, do a 3000..
 
Snake I have a stock 904 conv. in really good condition,If you want it?Come get it,you can have it.The ring gear is good,I know it,s a drive,but not a $500 drive?
 
Thanks dude but the 360 convertor is externoly ballanced.Mrbill00 no no it did knot take 2 or 3 tryes to catch,what I ment it did catch all 3 tryes no slipping.

easy fix. either use the B&M flex plate just for that or tack the weights on the converter. either way is cheaper then a new converter.
 

I don,t know what your talking about?The convertor I,m offering,is a 904 that came with my 360,but I purchased a 2500 stall.It,s yours if you can use it.It,s a low mileager.
