I figure this engine won't appeal to a truck buyer and I had a lightly used Kevko 340 center sump pan and this is FABO.....grabbed an old 360 truck pan and we're on our way. J.Rob
I've abondoned the T&D rocker option as I've had interest from a perspective buyer that wants it almost for a daily..I can't predict how a 1.7/1.8 rocker and .680" lift will act/last/hold up. I will be using a set of Comp's Pro-Magnum rockers in a 1.5 ratio and mock-up revealed terrible geometry that will kill the guides in probably a summer of use. So I've gone the up and out route and am in the process of relocating the shafts. Had to remove the rocker shaft heli-coils from the SM's which gave me the opportunity to move up to a 3/8" diameter stud. Ordered some ARP studs/nuts, Heli-coils etc.... Now I have to plug the holes...Scratches head....Lightbulb moment! (< these don't happen as often anymore) Order 3/8" aluminum bar stock and thread up a length with a 3/8" x 16 die. Worked out excellent. I plan to set up the heads one at a time on the milling machine, indicate the intake face, pickup the hole locations with the touch probe and drill and tap the 10 holes for a 3/8" x 16 Heli-coil. I've already machined the blocks for the correct height of the shaft, just gotta move them out now. This along with the hydraulic roller lifters should make for a very reliable and stable valvetrain. Power expectations with the Weiand 7545 and .555"/.566" is now somewhere between 430-470 hp. J.Rob

Are you going to run the shaft through the blocks whole or cut the blocks in half like a stock pedestal and hold down?

I'd like to run the shaft through whole blocks , but may need to part them for "wiggle room" if there is too much misalignment. J.Rob

Gotta say I would have liked to see the T&D set up and all of your fancy machine work, but I’m glad you have a buyer and aren’t working for free.
