I am running the magnum heads and wanted to know if the springs from the non magnum heads will fit in the magnums? If not, where would I get the right springs for my application? Thanks

A dual spring is pretty heavy for that cam profile. I would think that a single spring with a dampener would do the trick. MP has 2 springs for the magnum heads and there are a few alternatives. Patrick over at Moparts has all the info on what works and what doesn't.

that cam profile is definitely wrong .050 numbers arent right. call jegs for proper specs. 1-800-345-4545

LA springs will require machining of the spring seats on the head, for a dual spring you would likely need to machine down the diamter of the guide to. The other problem with LA springs is there are no retainers out there (that I could find) that fit the spring and work with the 8mm magnum valve stem.

When I did my magnum \ LA hybred I used a Comp XE268H cam which is about one step up on duration and more lift. At the time Comp did not offer any springs and recomended the Mopar Perfromance R/T spring which is a single spring and damper. These springs work fine right up to 6500 rpm on my engine so they should be fine with the smaller Lunati cam. NOTE: these springs also require new retainers but retainers from a 2.2/2.5 mopar 4cyl work. You can get them from MP, a dealer or do as I did and harvest them from the local junk hard (use the magnum locks).

Mopar Perfromance has another spring beside the R/T spring that is good for .600" of lift and Comp now has a beehive spring that fits without needing any machining of the head.
