I have a freshly bored 360 magnum engine for sale. I just got it back from Indy Cylinder Head. Block has been bored with torque plates to .020 over , it was square decked , align honed , new freeze plugs , new oil galley plugs, new oem rods. The whole assembly I had internally balanced and it cost a lot. I had the crank polished locally and chamfered the oil holes. It will come with all new main and rod bearings. They are the speed pro tri metal bearings. Rings are speed pro Molly rings 1/16 first and 1/16 second ring. It will come with new 5 quart oil pan, new pick up tube and new melling oil pump from Indy cylinder head. Pistons are speed pro hyperreutectic .I have all receipts and have over 2100 invested in it and would like to get 1600 . Not gonna have the cash to finish project my loss your gain. I will be listing my 71 dart as well.

Where do the slugs sit in the bore?

Not real sure I haven't done any measuring. Stock compression is 9 to 1 and these were supposed to be a little higher up around 9.8 . Blocked was decked some so that should help. Sorry I didn't answer your question more direct. Was gonna run a 62cc head

Knowing Rumble, he is looking for how the assembled piston/rod crank assembly: How far does the piston sit below the deck, actually measured.

Bingo.

In example, my KB 107 slugged 360's are 1 @'zero deck and 1 @ .010 in the hole.
Add one 72cc J head and the zero deck slugged 360 is 9.8-1 and with the 65cc head and thinner gasket ape we (IIRC) 11-1.

Knowing where the slug is in the he helps. I found the piston @ Summit racing with a listed compression height of 1.6xx. If the deck was milled, how much and the piston question again, how far in the hole does it sit?

If you do not have the tools to measure, that's OK.

This is why I asked him to post the part numbers. They are 1.5mm/1.5mm/4mm rings, not 1/16. The compression height is 1.612. So in a Magnum block they will be .055" down from factory spec deck height.

Block was milled down like .020 so not that far down

And a small chambered head on top will do nicely. Thanks for the info.
