I have a 1978 d100 im working on. Finally got around to pulling the slant 6 and 727. I have a 1979 360 that I honed and added new rod bearings and rings. This is the first engine ive had tore down this far and re assembled. I got the 360 in the truck and started to prime the oil before installing intake and valve covers. Driver side got oil to rockers shortly after rotating engine. But passenger side no luck, Oil holes in rocker shafts are pointing down towards the springs notch is to left facing down. Ive swapped the shaft and driver side still getting oil to the rockers but still no luck on passenger side. So I know the rocker shaft is not clogged ive also took passenger head off to better inspect block and head nothing was blocked or clogged from what I could see. Also stuck a coat hanger to verify oil hole was lining up with hole in cam bearing. Is there something im missing? Or something else I should be looking for? I will mention that the drill i am using is old and tired it dies fairly quickly. I do plan on borrowing a different drill tomorrow, does it take time for the passenger side to get oil to the rockers? Im out of ideas of what else to look for i appreciate any suggestions. The last time I was priming it I saw oil building up in the cam valley by the lifters and passenger side. So im hoping it just the drill dieing before building oil to passenger side rockers.

The rockers are not full-time oiling, they only get oil at one point in the engine's rotation.
You just got lucky that the DS oiled right off the bat- now you need to put a breaker bar on the crank bolt and nudge it over a few degrees. Try priming it again. If no love, nudge it over a few more degrees and try again. Keep repeating until you get oil at the PS rockers. Be patient, it'll happen. And yes, the oil will disappear on the driver's side as you rotate the crank; don't worry about it, that's how it's designed.

As many times as I done this, I've neve taken the time it figure out and mark where on the rotation it gets oil to both side, :BangHead:

It's easy to go right past it. Turn a little at a time, just a few degrees and prime for a while then repeat. There is a thread around here where some people have documented where the holes are at in different cams. It seems they're not all the same. If you know where one hole is you might get lucky and be able to match it with one of those cams for the position of the other hole. I know it can seem like you have hit every spot but then all of the sudden you hit it and you have oil. That's if you don't have something internal wrong. Hopefully that's not the case. Good luck.
