Hey all,

I'm planning on swapping my 360 with a 418 (340 based) stroker. The transmission I have is a built up 727 and I'd like to stick with it. Now as far as I know, the engine mounts are the same and the 727 should bolt up. Unfortunately that's about all I know. What are the physical differences I should be weary of?

Please shed some wisdom! What hickups may there be during this swap? Oil pan issues? Flex plate issues? Linkage issues? Money issues?

Advice is greatly appreciated!!!

oil pan will not swap out....

flex plate .....better find out how the 418 is being balanced...internally no weights needed on flexplate or converter...externally...the flexplate/balancer needs to go to machine shop with engine..

no linkage issue as both engine are physically the same size....

motor mounts swap out ok...
