Probably figured as a core. That's what I'd consider it

doesn't it look like the waterpump impeller clearanced itself into the timing cover?
I would expect a ton of aluminum shavings to have made it through the coolant passages and the I would suspect the whole motor to have overheated

I saw it, just never had any interest in those OD transmissions.

$60 for a decent 360 block is a good deal. Anything else that is usable is just icing on the cake.

Turns out I know the guy. I sold him a four speed set up a couple of years ago when I was in a pinch and needed cash.

Both items were sold last week.

i've pulled iron ods out of aspen/volares...75 and 76 models.the cases are good for 4 speed swaps and you get the big front bearing.way better than the aluminum od because you don't need to bush cluster gear shaft.
